Unless I took off and miss read amount of sats… Not sure
I think you can check how many satellites you had lock on at when point in the flight data if you are worried.
Its not happened again, so touch wood wont happen again.
My mini 4 pro did and sometimes does do the exact same thing. Dji support told me not to worry about it if the radar screen still showed the correct home point and you can always set it manually when you take off. Did you ever get any info from others.
I’ve not really flown mine at as yet to test if still happening due to weather and major operation I had. I did research it to find it can be set manually.
It turns out in that setting manually you can set home point to controller too, which would be interesting to test on a large open field.
After take off, set to controller, fly a few 100 yards away, then leave hovering and walk to a completely different location in the field then click RTH to see if comes back to controller. Next test could be done on the move… start running after clicking RTH.
When you set it to return to the controller, that is a snap shot of the controllers current location.
Once you set it, if you move the controller, the home point will stay at the location that the controller was in when you set it …. It is not a dynamic location that keeps updating (sadly)
A great feature of Litchi
