DJI Mobile SDK - Litchi Beta Support

Bought the app during their Black Friday sale in anticipation :money_mouth_face:

Snap

Wise move guys

Wtf

It’s designed to catch the setting sun … and the rising sun … all in one 360. :stuck_out_tongue:

These are some of the 110 images of the 360 pano

Did you have exposure bracketing on too?

Yes probably as I was trying that this afternoon

Yes, it was on and set at 5, could this be another bug?

surely the app should switch to single-mode automatically

Depending on lighting 3 close (if not 5 wide) exposures might be useful?

I’d like the option.

Yesterday I took the plunge and purchased the Android version of Litchi and enabled myself as a Beta Tester. Even though I haven’t flown with it yet I’ve already found it to be be more fluid and responsive than the DJI-Fly APP when connected to my Mini-2. I’ve yet to test with my Spark but I suspect the performance of Litchi will equally out perform the Go4 APP.

I have a question, however, and that is, is there an option in Litchi to adjust the Expo settings similar to those recently introduced into the DJI-Fly APP? This would be a nice to have but not essential as these adjustments are stored in the flight controller and not the APP so can be adjusted in DJI-Fly before launching Litchi.

I had a good look at it last night and didn’t find any Expo settings, might be worth an email to ask way not

My email list is getting bigger so will add it

They’ve never been there, quite a lot of the settings need to be made in GO/FLY and they stick in Litchi

Not everything is made available in the SDK

I think I read somewhere these are actually stored on the RC

And, as always. and as warned by Litchi, when switching between apps, ALWAYS make sure one app is FULLY CLOSED (not running in background) before opening the other.

An app running in background doesn’t release its link to the RC for the second app to be able to take control.

Absolutely agreed that this recommendation makes sense. However, I don’t know why, and I’m not recommending it, but for some reason I have not found this to be true for my Mavic Air on iOS.

On several occasions I have planned a Litchi flight, gone to fly it and loaded the mission into Litchi, but found that the compass needs to be calibrated. I found the settings in GO4 easier to use for this task, so I did the calibration there. By accident I have then returned to Litchi directly, without quitting GO4. It is only when I got home and found that GO4 was still running that I realised my error. Nonetheless, no bad things happened. (Also, when I had a ā€œnear missā€ in Glasgow whilst using Litchi, I checked and there were no other apps running).

Nevertheless, if only for increasing the memory available and processing power, I would recommend quitting one app before using the other.

Would this be the the case with dronetweaks fcc mode? ie enable fcc mode in gofly app, close it and then open litchi and still have fcc enabled? Or does the fcc mode only work when using the dronetweaks modified fcc software? I wouldn’t mind trying to test live but don’t really want to trudge through the fields here to find my lost drone.

Oooh damn, MSDK for the Mini 2 would be fantastic!

Now working for me with a beta update, Android 12, Samsung S21.

Please can somebody check for me that when using LITCHI with AIR2S the camera auto starts recording on take-off ?
Thank you muchly  Steve

Not had a chance to try it yet, but seen a video showing that you need to enable the auto start recording in the settings
