I saw this offering from Geeksvana in my YT feed this morning but couldnāt bring myself to watch it. The reason being the blatant click bait title. Iām seeing this more and more from DJI centric channels as they scrape the bottom of barrels just to maintain a presence.

The long and short answer is I havenāt a clue!
It seems to be working ok with a few niggles, I suppose it will depend on when they are confident it is reliable and working as it should
The care refresh is my concern as using a 3rd party app will invalidate it as well as any warranty 
Usually a couple of months (or it was with the Mini)
As for the warranty issues, you pays your money and takes your chances
At the risk of going off topic a bit, in either the hobbyist or commercial-use sector (including agriculture) Iāve yet to hear of a single warranty claim being rejected because a DJI app wasnāt being used. Anyone ever come across anything other than speculation/rumour? 
But have you heard of a claim being awarded? do we know of anyone that has made a claim whilst using the Litchi app? or any other app?

now. my aging memory just could not handle it 
I always tend to get my drone into position before starting the recording, unless Iām planing a reveal shot.
Seems like a waste of memory on the SD Card to me, recording the entire flight and clipping it up in post.
Maybe thatās just me though lol
