Hi I am thinking in getting a neo with the n3 headset. I have glasses and i cannot remove them because if i did i get double vision, I have a prism in my lense, so what are peoples experience wearing the n3 headset with glasses, i did have the quest 3 headset for vr but the lenses on quest 3 scratches so easy and was crap for people in my position because all though you can get custom lenses, but none with a prism, any advice would be good, thanks
Try before you buy them
Come to the Big Meet, there will be someone that will let you have a go
I would like to go, but over 620 mile round trip is a little far. But maybe next year
Yes mate, you can fit the N3s over your glasses, unless you wear Edna Everidge types, normal size glasses, no problem.
If you decided to come down to the BM, you could try mine anytime.
And…the screen is really good in the N3s, I use mine without my glasses (only reading glasses), but I have no problem at all with focussing.
I do have the exact combination including the prism issue.
Also have the quest 3 and with a bit of a set-up can work with my glasses as well, although I did scratch it a tiny bit at the start.
For the N3 there is loads of space for glasses and I have no trouble using it, although I think it adds a little bit of a light leak around the sides of the goggles, but even in a bright day it was ok, just had to turn to not be directly side to the sun.
Also the screen unlike with the quest is completely flat, so using a screen protector should be easy.
(BTW I am located in Edinburgh and from the other comment I assume you might be somewhere around here as well, so if you would be around you could try)
yeah i live in peebles, and i am often in edinburgh, it was a shame about the quest 3 to be honest. I am also wondering and heard rumours of a neo 2, How are you finding the neo? has it made you tempted to get the avata?
I have both the Avata 2 and the Neo (A2 came first)
Neo is great, but you will soon grow out of it if your path is to a bigger DJI ‘FPV’, on anything less than a still day its not great (but given the conditions its very good never the less)
with the new rules in 2026, i would not need the a2 cofc to fly the avata 2? or am i wrong
I’ve got Goggles 3, and there’s absolutely no way I could get them on over my glasses, not sure about the N3 though, they look kind of similar, but obviously the N3 have different screens in them. That being said I don’t need my glasses to use the goggles as the built in adjustments work fine for me. Funnily enough I have an Oculus Rift S and that fits fine over my glasses, but again I don’t really need them as I can see fine without my glasses. The other thing I’d say is my glasses are kind of big, they are Wayfarers, but like the extra big ones.
well ping me if you are here and I can show you.
I have got the Neo and then almost immediately got a Meteor 75 for fun.
The biggest benefit that is kind of obvious but also cannot be overstated is the ability to point your camera down - that makes the Neo so much better for videos than any fpv with set camera angle.
But flying the Meteor is a bit more fun. So everything has it’s benefits.
For me the Neo does not really make too much sense with the goggles - it is great with the rc-n3 controller and you can take it anywhere. The N3 goggles are fairly chunky so if you are traveling light they take a lot of space.
Currently I kind of have it for two different types:
Neo + phone + rc-N3 for videos and going abroad
Goggles N3 + fpv controller 3 + Meteor for fun flying
Well it depends when you buy it and if its class marked, but in nushell
And don’t forget the important thing, that most new to Neo/Avata flying seem to ignore (or the ones I have seen out flying), you MUST have a spotter with you at all times.
