thanks.
i will try to get it open
got it open but it is impossible without destroying the big part
i think i will order a new enclosure
I managed to do it, but the top is no good as the tabs are broken
Best option is a new case
yes, i just ordered 2 pieces
did you inspect the new parts(with 249 gram on it)
looking at the photo’s the housing seems better enforced(bigger ribs)
are the clips also better than the original battery plus ones?
i think DJI wanted to make this battery as light as possible and removed to much plastic thus causing these brakedowns
No but I would say they are the same casing but the newer one’s have been strenghtened
or the 249 gram batteries(thus also the casings) doe not have the problem
it seems to be related to the plus battery.
anyway 7 days to wait
I think the 249 gm batteries have the same problem with tab breakage. Looking on Faceache groups, many have had this problem. If it’s within warranty DJI have replaced original batteries. So it’s not just these heavier, extended flight time batteries that have this problem
Its a well documented problem on both the standard battery and the “plus” battery.
Reports seem to have died down so my guess would be the same as Wayne’s @SparkyFPV - later production versions have been strengthened
ok i will check if they are stengthened, if not it is easy to fill the clip from the inside with superglue/baking soda to make it stronger.
i received the new enclosures today.
they were not completely clicked into place so repairing was as easy as clicking on the new piece(opening the original battery is another thing)
i can confirm that the plastic rims on the backside of the clips are thicker.
with the bad batch the middle rim is thinner, whith rhe ones i have the middle rim is as thick as the rest.
