DJI Power 500 / 1000 (portable power station) - Rumours, leaks, gossip and general discussion

Here’s one for the DJI fans

Word on the street is that they will soon be releasing a portable power station, with the catchy title of “DJI Power 1000”.

I’m not sure what it’ll offer over all the other existing power stations from the likes of EcoFlow, Bluetti, Jackery, Anker, et al, but from the model name we can safely assume it’ll be a 1000Wh unit.

Hopefully they won’t restrict the power output with a firmware update when in CE mode

If you see or hear any other rumours about this new product, post them here!

I noticed that being mentioned a couple of weeks ago … but forgot to mention it on here.

With so much competition in that market, I can only imagine it being a re-badged version of one of the main makes.

Perhaps one that looks different, but basically an existing one that’s had ports moved about to make it look different.

More leaks this morning.

Alongside the 1000Wh version which weighs in at 14kg there are also rumours of a 500Wh version that will weigh 8kg.

Starting to see a few companies offering these powerbank options nowadays, Bambu Labs are also bringing one out, they must know something we aren’t being told, no doubt we are looking at major power outages with the insistence of EV vehicles and chargers, before they even provide further power stations to cope, I keep seeing old power stations being bulldozed, but no replacement beforehand, worrying times ahead

Yep, will be most interesting to see full specs esp. charge-time. We live off-grid here in deepest Northumberland (mega Trojan (recently Rolls) deep-cycles serve the house/inverter etc) but also use a raft of portable power-packs around the house in evenings (then recharged in daytime via wind/solar). Started off with lesser-known Awanfi/Huarigor/Yose/Fluoreon then onto the branded AllPowers/Bluetti/EcoFlow/Aferiy/Dabbsson. From c. 390Wh to a (combined) 5330Wh. The technology has evolved immensely - what used to take up to 7-8 hrs to basically trickle-charge Li-Ion at 60w we can now get to thump in 1800w (max, variable) to charge in less than 2hrs using the latest EV-grade semi-solid state LiFePO4. Our main criteria is the 2hr bit (eg. EcoFlow/Aferiy/Dabbson, at respective max settings, be it switch or app) as that’s the time our backup genny runs (if needed) to recharge the Rolls batts. In winter if we can get it sub-2hrs, we’re OK  . Obviously the bigger Wh the bigger the biceps needed, but those (Dabbsson (2330Wh + 3000Wh batt-pack) / bigger Aferiy (2000Wh) - c. 25kg a pop :muscle:) you tend to leave in-situ, the more mobile (Aferiy-1248Wh/EcoFlow-882Wh at 14/11kg) are luggable. One thing I’ve found is that AllPowers ‘do’ like their fans, though  :exploding_head: Anyway, enough from me, lets see what DJI has to offer

I think they’ll struggle to be competitive in this market, given the big players that already dominate it.

Anyone seen what input options these have? solar etc?

If they are not LiFePO4 powered then I’d look at other more established options

That’s almost too good, especially for DJI.

Is this legit? Who knows… but as this is a rumours thread:
