So, it’s Dronefest this weekend. Given that I bought tickets and went last year I’m surprised I hadn’t heard anything about it until the guys I bumped into on Thursday evening mentioned it.
They’ve also released a new map of the location on Uncrashed
There’s not a lot to it, and it’s weird seeing the pit head out in the middle of nowhere, except for a handful of rather colonial-looking houses that Mansfield is famous for…

We went yesterday as spectators, discount code posted on andy rc you tube channel, 1/2 price. Easy to find, free parking on site. Take your own chairs and goggles, no big screens. If you are flying seemed very well organised not big queues, however not many stalls & prices for drones & stuff seemed on a par with most places. Not discounted. We did not fly but the people we spoke to seemed to enjoy the site. All that said we had a nice time. Jon&Denise two old Fogies
