Another reason to be on the register:
The domain was registered back in June ⌠I guess there could be other ways of matching owner to drone than the new reg?
Also - you donât have to be registered to fly the Mini Mavic.
Who did âMâ report his lost drone to? That site didnât exist last week
You need to enter the operator id to report the drone you found - like this one
Such a farce
Undoubtedly.
So - youâre effed if you lose your MM.
I just reported the Mavic Mini as being lost in the Atlantic Ocean in 2003.
Itâs not showing up on the âlost boardâ though
It will appear the day you actually receive it. They know you canât lose it before then.
How spooky would it be if it did appear then.
Anybody else immediately grab that picture and a reverse image search on it?
yeah
You do if you put the prop guards on.
Isnât there a national lost and found database?
When I lost my drone, the guy that found it said he had a look on it to see if my drones serial number was on there.
Mightâve been the metropolitan police database
I seem to remember there was an earlier drone finder website ⌠4+ years ago.
Could have been immobilise property register.
Iâve registered most of my stuff. Police check recovered items against it through NMPR and if an item is lost or stolen you can add the serial to CheckMEND which pawn shops etc check before purchasing goods.
On second thoughts, I dont think joe public can search that so probably not.
Thatâs all I need. Some drone from my younger years, whom I didnât particularly like or had much to do with, getting in contact with me and suggesting we meet up for a drink and catch up on old times.
No Ta
Nidge.
Yet
Or you could just stick your email and mobile number on the drone like I do., because your average member of the public wonât even know about this siteâŚ
Very true
