Hi @AlbionDrones and welcome to Grey Arrows :wave:t2:

Have you seen our members map? (Click the burger-menu in the top right) You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too :+1:t2:

We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the #questions-and-answers category.

Looking for recommendations of places to fly? Check out our interactive map on Drone Scene - be sure to log in to gain access to the full suite of features and map layers:

And please feel free to add locations of your own too.

Please also take a moment to look at the Membership Levels section on our FAQ as we’re quite different to other clubs and you’ll be eligible for some rather exclusive club discounts as your membership level increases

Welcome once again!

Thank you

Many thanks, I found that bit of ‘music’ and knew it would be perfect for something a little different, happy with how it turned out, want to do moree ‘unusual’ stuff like that too…

It was really well put together, and it’s somewhere different.

I’m new to drone photography/videography too. Been doing it probably a little less longer than you. I feel so anxious doing videos but I finally did one yesterday. Going to try and do one video each time I go out to try and improve my confidence/technique. Videoing makes me anxious :joy:

No need to feel anxious, once you have the footage then you can either sit on it for personal use, or put it together and share - the worst that can happen is someone doesnt like it - in which case learn from it - and the best would be that people find it interesting and like it - either way you are getting a reaction that can help you to improve - a feedback loop…
I am of the opinion that if I cant make a video from what I have taken, then I have not done well that day… Some of my first videos are awful, but each time I improve and learn…
Would be interested to see your work…

Yeah, absolutely. I think it’s because I’m so worried of the drone flying away, or it just falling. I did some video work yesterday and lost signal completely and I just panicked! But luckily it was only for a few seconds. Oh, and my drone got attacked by a kestrel too :joy: completely out of nowhere.
Like I said, to kind of…force me into uploading videos, I want to keep doing them each time I go out to see/show progression!
I’ve made a post in the drone photos category today of Chatterley Whitfield if you wanted to take a look

Will do, I grew up 5 miles from there in Biddulph, did a school trip underground back in the day when they did such things… I had a disconnect in Hull, near the Humber Bridge, thankfully the RTH worked and I didnt loose the drone, but do know where you are coming from. Good insurance for flyaway is the key, if I loose it then it gets replaced, which saves me worryingg too much

Wow, what a small world we live in! I live nearby in Norton.
Oh no, I’d be panicking like something gone crazy.
Yeah I need to get my drone insured don’t I. I keep forgetting!
