(Not that the G7 was in Eggborough … :p)
The side of me would so like to get EVERYONE on GADC to post a Flight Report within the NOTAM area until you can’t see anything!
They could all be for after the NOTAM expires at 3pm Sunday … they’d still totally blur the place out.
Late to notice this thread. Not been on for a bit. Im going tho.
Oh well was just about to leave, saves me getting wet I suppose
All the local Facebook groups were saying last night it was going to be 8am,
The rain helped with the dust
They probably saw all the planned drone flights so brought it forward to catch everyone out.
I don’t feel so bad now, having been called in to work yesterday today is catching up on the things I couldn’t do so I was going to give my planned trip a miss. I’d have been rather annoyed travelling for 2 hours to find a big empty space
But why put in so many safety precautions to then drop them early?
I appreciate the rain will have helped with the dust, and in all honesty it was too wet to fly anyway, but many people I know wanted to witness it, something they might never get to see again in their lifetime?
Poor customer relations by the demolition company and NYP, just glad I had not set out to film it
Don’t think that was it, the roads all around were shut and they have said they wanted to keep congestion to a minimum and given the forecast of rain at 8am.
Still big crowds out and a few drones ;o)
The rest of Ferrybridge comes down at the end of the month, and the other 4 at Eggborough wont be long standing
But we were always led to believe it was going to happen between 10 and 11am, not 8am, the demolition company themselves had said as much.
Never mind I have seen them demolished before, it’s my young daughters I feel sorry for the most, been woken early on the school holidays for nothing lol
I know they never, but you try convincing an 11 and 8 year old to get up at 5am lol
I was there. Got set early. I’ll post footage soon.
Excellent @Neil79 that’ll teach me to answer txts more promptly
Well done @Neil79 !
