Equipment transportation

So. After a meet up at Beacon Park golf course, and having to carry bags, drones, chairs, and lots of other bits back to the car, a was knackered. I had seen @Foley and @FoleyMrs with their festival carts. I had seen @gunja99 Martins toolbox with the charging circuits installed and a plan was formulating.

Fast forward a few minths and the basis for the plan came available at the right price close by on ebay.

One electric golf bag trolley. Of the right configuration to mount a box on. Bonus it works, double bonus it came with a battery which is virtually new.

Got it home a quick clean up and a spray of black paint.

Off to the shops i need a big box to put on it.
B&M Bargains £5 off because it’s mussing a clip.

The tote tray i got free a few years ago from screwfix but it fits perfectly in the top of the box. So that will get used for that.

Right. The battery tray is in the way so that will have to come off.

The esc was housed under the battery tray but is a perfect fit between the chassis legs.

And a change of power connector to XT60 but that may become XT90

The wheels weren’t evenly spaced the right one was closer to the center so a new hole had to be drilled for the split pin so i could move it out .

Now cut some holes in the box to accommodate the motor and handle.

Now time for bed.

Version 3 a goft cart with 4 seats for us lot :grinning:

Only 4

You will need a lot of seats and storage to go round picking everyone up for the big meet.

Gonna need a bigger battery too :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Was that a quote from Jaws…

During the week i had a play with layout.

Erm that didn’t quite work

Try again diffrrent intention.

The expanding foam will cover the uneven molding of the box where the wheels used to attach and hold the trolly battery.

Shelf to go on top with a big battery to power chargers etc

Now to find homes for the inverter

Idea no1

Cable tied in this didn’t work so am thinking of plan 2.

So have now decided on the position of the inverter. Just Infront of the battery.

But there aren’t enough out puts on that so have installed
4 x fast charge ports which are usb c x 2 and usb A X 2 rated at 3a
4 usb A ports rated at 2.1A
2 x car type power outlets.

That should be enough options

I’ll finish the wiring tomorrow. Then it’s nearly ready.

I think that largely depends on how many people turn up on 29th. You can never have enough charging outlets

Well. The wiring has been tidied up and the inverter moved again.

So it’s now in a state that is more than useable.

So a few decals for the outside.

With reflective strips.

Will add more or change them as time goes on

Kit needs some knightrider leds

Now there’s food for thought. I have some somewhere that I had mounted mounted in the Capri grill.

Watched a Matt Armstrong video yesterday where he was looking for an LED strip light for a Maserati he’s been repairing/ restoring. He bought the strip light from Wickes :open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth:

Even better if it comes with sound
