I’ve hit a bit of a wall with my drone and could really use some experienced eyes on it. I’ve just soldered a new receiver (RX) to my flight controller (FC), and ever since, I’ve come completely unstuck trying to get it to arm. I’ve been through a million and one troubleshooting methods in Betaflight, but nothing seems to click, and I’m currently facing persistent “RX_FAILSAFE” and weird double startup sounds that suggest the FC is resetting. I’ve also confirmed it’s not the old RX to TX wiring problem that used to catch me out!
I’ve been flying cinematic for about a year now and FPV for 7 months, all completely self-taught, and I’ve been doing so well up until this point, which makes this even more frustrating!
I’m based in Basildon, and was wondering if anyone in the club is planning on flying this weekend and might be free to lend a hand, or if there’s anyone nearby who might be able to pop over for a quick look? Any help at all would be massively appreciated – my brain is officially fried trying to figure this out!
First, welcome. Second, why not hop over to the Racing Quads, Self-builds & FPV - Grey Arrows Drone Club UK section and create a post detailing your problem? Start with which RX and FC you’re using and include pictures if possible. There’s plenty of quad builders that can probably help.
First up, presumably you’ve managed to bind your controller to the new RX. Is the Receiver tab in Betaflight behaving as expected? After that, are the Modes still configured correctly?
