I was downloading from my mini 2 direct but they were big files and it was overheating so I bought a cheap usb card reader from Amazon made by Beikell (Model VCR-740). It turned out that it was 1.5x quicker saving via my USB2 laptop ports to WD Elements 1TB harddrive (when this runs out of space going to get an SSD). Videos were amazingly better and in 4K. I edit using Filmora 11 because its easy to use and the proxy editing allows my steam driven i5/Gforce laptop to keep up!
