Looking good then
Check the Drone assist app too as they sometimes dont show up on DJI Go 4 app

That was in the original post.
I thought that the No Fly Zones were stored on the drone itself?
When I removed the NFZs from mine I had to do it from the MPs FW.
You are correct. The ones that Litchi uses are whichever version exists in the drone’s uploaded Geodata.
Litchi themselves never install any Geodata with their app on the device, either.
Had this confirmed by them about 6 months ago.
Purely out of interest, would that apply for preprogrammed missions too. I suspect yes?
As I recall, as Litchi uploads a mission to the MP/M2P, it signals a fail if the path crosses into a DJI NFZ. Chances are the Go4 with the M2P/Z will do something very similar … and prevent the mission even starting … until the conflict is removed.
How either handle an unlocked NFZ I’ve no idea … but chances are it would be rare that the situation would be suitable for mission flying in most instances.
I was wondering following the BBC ‘documentary’. If airports etc are looking at tech to hijack control signals, then Litchi missions would totally evade that tech from working. Hopefully the authorities are a little smarter than I give them credit
ok, sorry, was in case someone didnt recognise the images
Around the time of #GatwickGate, I knew that if there really were drones then it’s Litchi I’d have used had I wanted to be that kind of idiot.
You can link 2 RCs to an MP, use one initiate the mission, it flies around the airport causing Gatwick, and then flies off to a totally different location at the end of the mission and hovers so that a second RC can bring it into land. Damned difficult for the police to locate or tech to intercept.
I hadn’t realised how much was required to unlock for a FRZ. As a result of this thread I found this video on YT that explains the process really well, covering all the steps.
I also did not know you had to do all that just to fly in nfz good video when I go to Scotland I will ring ATC if I get permission I will see if my aircraft takes off hopefully will be going Scotland in next two weeks
Unless you have the NFZ limits removed of course
I will see what happen when I get there on DJI go 4 app its showing that is not in a nfz on drone assist it is how do I get written permission form to fly there is it from air traffic control and then email DJI
You do it here…
NFZ limits removed ??
Lots of tutorials out there, easier if you are on a lower firmware to start with.
.700 really is your best friend ;o)
(this wont help @Fatboy as I see he flys a M2P)
I contacted Oban airport Today asking for phone number for air traffic control but the guy on the other end would not give it to me he said can I help you with anything I said I would like to fly my drone in a nfz some time next week he said that I had to put it in written where I would like to fly is that right if any body can help me
On further research, it does appear that Oban doesn’t actually have a dedicated ATC. So … he may be correct.
Even visiting planes are by Prior Permission Only
They don’t even quote approach/tower frequencies in that … which they would if they existed.
It seems strange that it’s probably easier to get permission from a massive international airport than from a little private (owned by Argyll and Bute Council) airport.
They quote the opening hours in that document …. so … if nobody answers when you want to fly … errr ….
Correction - they have a AFIS frequency … not that it’s any use to us.
I think will give this place a miss to much stuff to do to get permission to fly I will find other places to fly thanks everybody for your help hopefully Ash2020 Coastal flyer from Scotland will get in touch with me when I am up there still waiting for a reply from him
