It the airport doesn’t have a dedicated ATC then you need to get permission from the Aerodrome operator, they are the only people that can give the permission.

Really sorry, been off the radar for a few days. I popped in to the airport during the week and spoke to a very friendly guy called Tom. He said there shouldn’t be a problem if you drop them a line. As Dave said, there doesn’t seem to be a dedicated ATC. Mondays and Tuesdays are their least busy days.

BTW, it’s OK to fly off Forestry Commission land in Scotland and there’s an awful lot of it. Also Crown Estates and there are an awful lot of beaches!
