Flying in a FRZ

I am on holiday on Shetland and have realised that where I am lodging is at the very end of a FRZ. In accordance with instructions from several installed apps, as well as the airfield website, I have tried to contact the FISO, the Accountable Manager and the Visual Control Room to see if it’s possible to get permission. But there is no answer from any of the numbers provided.

So should I just give up and go somewhere else, or is there a precident for these things when the airfield appears to be closed?

Is it actually inside the FRZ?

A lot of them aren’t manned all the time, keep trying.

Ignore the flag, it’s actually in the middle of this last line, not on the edge as show by the flag. So Yes, it is inside the FRZ.

Then keep trying those phone numbers mate

It’s just going dark, will have to either try again tomorrow or fly someplace else. Damned shame, the sea has gone mirror calm :japanese_ogre:

Bit late now but the Shetland website has out of hours contact numbers in their drone procedure.
