Flywoo explorer setup

Thanks mate, so would you say both them setups in the pictures were ok?

Also what’s 1c?

There should be a setting for li-ion? Looks like you’re on lipo.
1c means charge at 1 x the li-ion capacity. What battery do you have? Can you post an image?

I just changed the setting as the top 3.85v is apparently where it stops at? That’s what I gathered from the instructions?

You can charge at 3amps
What is you’re charger model?
If you select 4.2, that’s a lipo fully charged
If you select 4.35, that’s for a hv lipo fully charged
If you select 3.85, that’s for a lipo storage
If you select 3.60, that’s for a li-ion storage

You need to find the 4.15v option

I’ve now got some other lights coming on down the side where it says 1,2,3,4 does this look ok?

There isn’t any v.15 option

There’s only one button on the charger and that allows you to change the voltage and amps I’m guessing?

Can I just go by the percentage down at the bottom there where it says 20% as it now says 27%

Does this help

Chris. That charger is not meant for li-ions. You can charge them to 4.2, but you risk shortening their lives

Really? It came as recommended by flywoo with the drone and added batteries. Like they sold me the drone then gave the option to add additionally the battery’s and charger

Should I stop charging or will it be ok? Says I am at 43% already. Is that too quick? Seems fast

Heres the manual for that Toolkitrc M4 AC charger. It doesn’t say its compatible with Li ion. It says LiPo, LiHV, Lipo storage and LiFe

toolkitrc-m4ac.pdf (1.1 MB)

It probably will ‘seem’ quick as li-ions have a slightly higher IR. As I said, the charger isn’t for li-ions…
Pages 9-10

I know I have just read the back of it as well, why would flywoo do that? Because their Chinese? Lol

Will it still he ok if I let it charge up to say 75%?

Can someone confirm the % part I’m going by is how much the battery is charged?

Ok, but for this time to get some charge will it be ok?

Charging to 4.2v should be ok for a few times. Keep a check on how hot the battery gets, charge it at 1.5 amps. Do at your own risk though.

Yeah I understand mate I won’t blame you, the battery doesn’t feel at all hot after being on for last half hour now, the charger however does feel pretty warm and has been since early on charging. I have kept an eye on it. I will just do this once to try and see if this is what my problem was earlier getting liftoff.

Once I have around 75% battery in them that should be enough to know wouldn’t you say?

Don’t worry about %
Look at these. Stop it at 4.2 ish manually. It should drop quickly to say 4.10-4.15 hopefully

As you can see, this fpv hobby can be a minefield to navigate at times :grimacing: Not good that Flywoo sold you that as a package deal though. If youre thinking of buying anything else feel free to ask us here first to make sure of compatibility :+1:t2:
