Big question.

Are you after a frame? Or a whole kit set up?

@stevesb this won’t be cheap

Just a frame size idealy @notveryprettyboy

Don’t i know it Karl @notveryprettyboy , but most will slowly be paid for through pocket money. :rofl:

The sweet spot for fpv is a 5" frame. There are lots available. Don’t cheap out though. Look to pay 50 to 100.

I’m looking for a new one myself and considering a speedybee frame from hobbyrc. Around 50 pounds.

I’m sure others here will chime in with recommendations @group-fpv

Great to see that you’ve gone straight to the dark side @sachasb - Them tree climbing skills you and your dad have will come in handy :laughing:

The one that you flew of mine was a 3". A baby ape. Full quad for 80 pounds. But you then need goggles and a controller and batteries

Its hard really. The quality of the image in the goggles and range of the transmitter go up with price, but well worth it.

Its worth going as cheap as possible i suppose to see if you will stick to the hobby.

If after a few months you are hooked, then its time to splash out on top of the range stuff that will last quite a while.

What I’m saying is, cheap fpv is ok to get started, but you’ll want better if you like it.

You will want to upgrade as soon as you get the hang of it. I did.

However, it’s best to make sure it’s for you first as the gear is pretty easy to sell on when you start to upgrade

5 inch frame a Nazgul frame would be great but you need to plan for the camera and vtx if you’re going digital the a caddy or RunCam link is a cheap DJI option but if you’re going analog then rush tank vtx is a great option
Hope this helps

True! So True!
