In the summer this lake is busy with people of all ages, paddling boats, little sail boats, windsurfer etc.
Now it looks pretty eerie

Nice
I never realised it was so big, i delivered around the DA postcodes for years when i was on the vans and unless i was delivering to the boathouse i would only see it from Danson Road as i drive past.
I tell you it’s a lot prettier in the summer
I was going to ask you if you had done Danson House then there it was, had temporary fencing around it for decades now… Hall Place would be good to but top of my head cant think of a TOAL point. may have to look into that as i am looking for a Christmas Day location to film and that may be Brooklands, Weybridge, Surrey but i know there is an annual flight there by another drone user.
I took off from the bench at the edge of the lake, sod all VLOS
By the way I tried Brooklands last summer and encountered a load of flying restrictions, between the race tracks which is a no fly area due to the helicopter traffic (London Heliroute H2), and the Golf course the whole area is a restricted UK Aerospace traffic only, so I packed my drone and went further south to Buckland to do this video Buckland Park Lake, West Sussex - YouTube
Are you not just looking at Class D airspace there @Badly_Drone_Boy ?
Not sure mate, but when I saw a sign outside the Race track saying Drone flying strictly prohibited I gathered this was not going to be a pleasant experience.
Brands Hatch same story, they’ve got security cameras from the hotel outside the main gates and all around the circuit.
Now im confused
Yes I too saw that too yet, I took my chances staying quite low and the only things to watch for around the lake are trees which are about 30 metres high, no power lines either
