If you can give us the Excel formulas that generate that scoresheet we will happily run with it. Ideally DM us a little Excel sheet or share it somewhere and we can have a play.

Movement is a nice idea but instead of “collected” for a column how about "maximum points "remaining?.

For instance Bob is leading on 78 and has two “treasures” left to collect. Are they two easy ones worth three points each or the Nuclear Power station in the Military Air Traffic Zone worth 6 points and the Hermes Driver actually knocking on a door before booting the parcel into the back garden - worth another 6 points?

If everyone is too busy chasing those final points for the next two weeks we can pick this up later in the feedback thread when it opens

Surely that’s a two pointer … as it happens every day in Swindon

Good point about the max points remaining, it’s more accurate. I’ll see what can be done in Excel. But much prefer developing 2FA web apps … but it could be a little overkill

It was the actually knocking that made me think of it being extremely rare …

And we currently use a Google Docs shared spreadsheet so Excel it needs to be unless a web app would be much simpler and produces output that formats beautifully in Markup.

A little tracker based on the positions, but where they were each day in the comp to see who moved up fast at the end and who dropped etc would be cool too. A bit like:

I would actually be against telling people what the maximum someone can get still is, and how many objects someone has collected, it would take away risk of not knowing you’re safe in a certain position. I’m sure all of us know what our current maximum available is and what we currently have in the bag but are hoping to better. By thinking I can safely drop a point here or there, takes away the effort. E.g. I’m not going to trawl though 1285 posts to see if John has submitted an FRZ entry yet! I know I can just search John’s posts in the thread, but basically the onus should be on the competitor if they want to be mega competitive rather than have it spoon fed to them.

Anyway, one for feedback thread.

If you’re changing shit how about links to how the points were gained ?

We will discuss this in the feedback thread which will open after the Challenge ends, For now can everyone save up their ideas ready to post in that thread. :+1:

Quick question on videos please.

Can videos be cut so a segment(s) is removed to reduce the time down - combined with speed changes?

Could the @Challenges_Committee please confirm if such an edited video is acceptable.

Looking at my options for the next week or two…

Yes, we are happy with this. :+1:

Great, thanks - just need to cut a 16 hour video - down to 30 seconds :joy:

or 1920 times speed instead :joy:  :joy:

Mind you - just need to find a drone that will stay airborne for 16 hours

Has the Mavic 19 Pro Zoom SE been released yet - or is @McSteamy2010 still waiting for that? :joy:

When you spot a crane and have to see how many axles it has or how many different coloured hard hats are on the site.

We will be doing this for the next year :joy:

Whoops! Wrong colour :frowning:

That’s better!

One for @Challenges_Committee let’s say the best construction site option I have so far features a mobile crane, and I happen to know when said mobile crane is leaving site. Can I submit the same ‘construction site’ for when the crane leaves? Or will I need to try and grab it further down the road? The pictures would be from different days and I can certainly change the vantage point, but essentially, it’s the same site!

One picture per entry …

Only one image is allowed per post, the image may only illustrate one objective. Two or more images captured from the same location will be disallowed.

That’s not what I’m asking, sorry.

Let’s say for arguments sake I submit the construction site picture today.

I then submit the mobile crane picture/video later next week when it’s leaving site. Different subjects, different entry, different flights, different days, different angles, same construction site.

Ok, misunderstood. So - first picture has four coloured hard hats, cement truck, blue mobile crane lifting a roof truss. Picture taken and entered as #22 Construction site

A week later the crane leaves, escorted, and you enter the video (best way to show it moving!) as #7 Mobile Crane.

No problem.

Thanks, That’s me done with fecking construction sites I think, missing the one bonus point but due to their working hours and mine, I’ve got better things to do Saturday mornings than dash around construction sites hoping for the best.

Now if anyone thinks I’m actually going to post the construction site today and let on where this mobile crane is, nope! :joy:  :smirk:
