An excellent way to spend your winnings @john768 - thanks for sharing

I just wanted to share with the group that it seems rare these days that I see a building site without a mobile crane on it…

When I need one on mine - I will order a 8 axle, gold coloured crane! Anything else will just not do!

Sod the cost!

(not sure my investor will agree however :joy: :joy: )

they are haunting me too, two building sites on my way to work, and both have intermittently have a big green one on site.

I couldn’t find an escorted crane when I needed one, but have now come across two in the past week.
As I was heading uphill in Glencoe last week, this drove past below…

…and this was the tailback behind it :joy:

Not that I want to give the @Challenges_Committee any ideas, but when I was travelling through Glencoe several years back we had to wait for a convoy transporting a wind turbine blade at one of the more twisty passes. That was a heck of an operation (and knackered our schedule somewhat).

Hmmm. Five turbine blades.? Note to self: are all blades white or do they come in other colours? How many axles does the transporter have?

And do they still count if the rear end is one of those detached jobbies that’s only connected to the tractor by the load it’s transporting?

A wind farm, minimum 5 miles offshore, at least 40 turbines?

All conveniently situated on a single track road.

in a disused aerodrome with a barn in the distance :slightly_smiling_face:
