No lifting for at least 3 weeks, emergency surgery done at York on Tuesday, sadly the A&E sent me home last Thursday, my GP was on the ball luckily and saved my life
Really sorry to hear that Mark. Wishing you a full and quick recovery. Please keep us informed of your progress. Suppose at least you are spared the misery of having to hunt for fuel or stare at empty supermarket shelves.

Meanwhile the weekly Friendly Edit Competition starts on October 9th 2021 - someone supplies a RAW picture and you use your editing skills and judgement to make it into a stunning photo. That can be done in comfort at home

Sorry I disappeared towards the latter part of this competition, life got in the way unfortunately! I had put in the leg work with recces too!
Either way I was not even in the running looking at the spreadsheet!!! Well done to all who took part and thanks a million to the @Challenges_Committee for yet another fantastic excuse to get out flying I think I look forward you @GADC_Committee birthday more than my own

This is what i have put my winnings towards after winning the GADC 4th Birthday Challenge
Its been well overdue to replace my Samsung S8 with this S20 Plus model i am very pleased with it as now i can read the texts as the screen is much better and it is making my flying even more enjoyable as i use it for the control of my DJIM2 drone.
Once again, BIG thank you to GADC for the hard work and man hours to put this on it is a huge task and i thank you all for doing so.

One word of advice though be really careful with the camera lens I broke mine with my wedding ring a few times.

I have bought a protective cover for it as it is a large surface that could scratch easily
All of my phones have lived in Otterbox Defender cases for the last 5 years or so 
a little on the high side price wise but I don’t mind paying that little bit more for a case that actually protects the phone and it saves me on the cost of expensive insurance. Only issue is they don’t fit in the drone controllers with the case on so normally what I do is take my old phone remove all the apps factory reset it remove the case and use it as a drone phone that lives in the drone case with the drone.
And all it has on it is the drones app ie DJI Fly app. And any flight planning tools like drone scene and UAV Forcast.

Totally I had a pretty meaty cover for the phone and still managed it haha. Doesn’t help my wedding ring is carbide.
I used to swear by these but the ones for the iPhone 12 were shoddy!
I must admit the newer ones don’t seem as good as the older ones. The newer ones without the built in screen protector seem of lesser quality. But will see how I get on with my latest one lol
