It’s nothing to you lot but this is my first print ever and I smiled like an idiot

Happy bunny (pun intended)

Also it took ages to level the bed, to the point that yesterday I was adamant the bed was concave and gave up for the day. Today I set about levelling it again and it all fell in to place.

Today I have also spent ages with Octopi and the new Raspberry Pi camera I bought, turns out Octoprint don’t like the latest V3 camera so I had to do some pretty intense research and terminal jiggery pokery. Got it working though. Today has been a good day, tomorrow I fly (good weather for a change).

Please be gentle. This is the first thing with any “complexity” i have built in a 3d cad package, never having touched one until a few months ago

Today’s live stream

Denno loving that silky blue what filament is that?

Well just about a week in and 3d printing is very much like drone flying, so far I have ordered a glass bed, vernier callipers, 99.9% Isopropanol and filament dryer box. However unlike drones I have printed all the accessories to allow printing direct from said dry box, pi cam mount and a couple of charging stands for the missus and my vapes. Have a large collection on Thingiverse, one of which will let me resurrect my favourite smart watch. At least I don’t have the urge to own more printers (yet). Actually found a use for my 23 years in engineering where I programmed and operated a very large CNC machine. G code is basically the same with some added codes so not foreign to me. All in all what a great device, loving it.
