Thank fuck, it’s bad enough watching repeats on TV. I don’t want to be watching them on Wayne’s printer too.
Right here’s an educated guess on the files for this, I’ll probably be wrong or near maybe, so
Some one designs these 3D prints on a computer down to millimetre size, then is that design converted into a file / program, in turn when the program is loaded to your pc, it does an exact copy of the original 3D design ? Close or miles off
Not a million miles away.
- CAD 3D model produced
- Saved as .STL file (StereoLithography)
- Put through a “Slicer” program, which produces the route of the print head, and where the filament is laid down and at what speed/thickness etc.
- Saved as “G” code
- Sent to 3D printer which then follows the “G” code, much like a CNC machine (which is what it is really, just additive not subtractive).
- Produces 3D model.

I see your hand move something, now it’s gone
Yep I just see it, thankyou
Is that another add on for your printer.
No, it is for a temperature monitor I made a couple of years ago with an Arduino nano and an MCP9808 temp sensor
Forgot to Post the update with my new very accurate desk thermometer
As you can see the kids and other half have come home and put the heating on full wack
It’s a bit tatoes out there today
For hot-desking?
