… I think due to it being in warranty they have not actually got the idea that the operator accidently flew the control and not the drone and due to the controll not having props fitted it tends to hit the floor quicker. Obviously this is totally my fault and not a warranty fault. I am going to get back to them and see if care refresh covers the controller and the drone or is it judt the drone. I think they are smart enough to know that if I stick props on the control with gaffer they will say, lets fix that lol.
Thanks for all your support. It just came at a bad time really, the blue car you saw at the meet is motability and we are at the end of the term with that so we have to raise the money to buy that off the scheme, This gives us the second car as it is converted with two accellerator pedals. When I drive it is a normal car with a right foot accellerator, when sarah drives she uses her foot to pull down a left accellerator which is attached to a cable to pull the right one up out of the way. No courtesy car is suitable for us to drive. So my original car just nearly fell apart on the drive and I now use a converted car. The blue one has better suspension for Sarah’s spine so we just move on with cars. So when the new motability car is delivered (September we hope) we have to pay for the deposit on that one, then we need to pay for the blue one and then sell the brown one (reluctant to sell the brown one as it has been and still is good) but can not just keep it cause it is good. Problem is second hand car prices are supposed to be high. The old one is supposed to be worth about £3000 so hopefully we can get somewhere round that and then use that towards the blue one but anyone who knows motability will know that there are certain things they can and can not do. If they tell us how much it is now then we have to buy it in 30 days or we will lose it and they take it back. If we are within 12 weeks of the end of the contract then they give us a price and we have that time. However we are going to be rushed anyway as the garage have given us an original delivery date of december so motability think it is december which is not within 12 weeks. The garage then gave us a delivery of the last week in August so we said can we have it September to get the new plate. This however has not been updated with motability so their computer is under the impression it is december. Nissan will not update motabiliity till the car has “landed” (like my control but in a safer way) at the garage. So it is pretty stressfull knowing exactly which route to take. So hopefully I will get more information tomorrow about DJI and see. THere are more complications at the moment with a roof leaking and house replairs that are being put aside along with all the stress of what is going on with the neighbours new project and what she has living in her house. If I was to put it all into one word
DJI sent 1. If you have an active DJI Care (except Non-EU version) contract for your product or if your product is within its warranty period, you will receive a shipping label via email within two working days. Otherwise you will have to send in your product by yourself.
So at least it looks like the postage is free. They look like they have booked it in. So hopefully will have a spare now too.
I have one Russ, I’ve yet to use it yet, but a great idea, I must use it as I know it’s probably not a case of if but when sorry to hear what happened,
I’ve used one from day one, my theory was to protect it more against scratches rather than a drop, I got mine off Amazon & the brand I got fit really perfect & you wouldn’t know it’s there !
Thanks… Yes, I have them so I am probably going to leave it connected and may even cut out some foam on the case so it can stay connected in case I get lazy and think… it will be ok… cause it will not be…
Feel free to throw yours on a stone and tell me if it works… errm maybe not… lol
I’ll give that a miss but let me know how you get on when testing
No jokes aside, I guess it’s like all screen protectors we use, for phones etc, it’s a extra bit of protection but not guaranteed, that said the only time I’ve ever broke a screen on my phone is when it was not protected, every other time I’ve dropped it never a problem ( when protected )
Sorry wasn’t going off topic just an example …
That’s the one I have & those metal hooks at the bottom annoy me, only the one time I did fit it to test, but, when I put it back in the bag the two eye hooks stood up like antennas, I also had a browse on the net, you can get different style hooks that are not so proud but, the ones in yr picture as the same as mine, look more robust & stronger & maybe stronger than others maybe …
Well I have the one and Sarah has just said she is getting a fancy pink one lol. However I am happy to buy one off you mate. Do not put yourself out of pocket.
I’m guessing yr using a hard case / shell, I have a ruck sack but where I usually sit the controller it’s not deep enough with the hooks attached, might be worth me trying to re arrange the bag & in all honesty, the only reason I’ve not used the lanyard is for the very reason of having to attach the hooks each time I fly, so having seen your misfortune, I guess I’ll be attaching mine but so it fits in my ruck sack.
Thank you for using the term “Love Handles” that just sent some wierd thoughts through my head… I am fighting the thoughts and bringing them back to the drone but… well…
I know mate
As you say but at a bit of cost you lean from it, yes it could have been avoided but it could have also been worse, god forbid your rc pro, I think you have one ? Is what I have, which is heavier & if that hits the ground ooooh it’s got some weight, I don’t fancy it
