My first proper drone, a DJI mini 2. Having great fun learning, but faintly annoyed by local “Not in our Parks” policy, which seems based on a fear of drones the size of an Airbus.

We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Hastings Council land itself looks ok to fly but as you say the Nature Parks have all had bylaws written in 2021 that basically say no flying of model aircraft. I say "all’ I only checked one but assume the others were the same due to them all being signed off at the same time. Due to the risk of animals etc I"m not sure about flying over the parks if taking off outside their boundaries as it could be construed as a law similar to that of an SSSi restriction rather than say an NT TOAL ban.
Hello, and thanks for the reply. Naturally. I’m terribly worried by the effect my 184g drone might have tumbling out of control onto one of the 6 or7 800kg highland cattle that graze the Hastings country park. But I promise I’d be careful…
