Hi im new to drones … well i dont have one yet I was thinking about getting the DJI Mini 3
I live in Cradley Heath near Dudley and I want to get into drones however after doing some research online i find that there are alot of restrictions on flying drones. soo my question is is there anywhere near me that is drone friendly as i dont drive sooo by train or bus is good but i would like some where close just to fly without any one complaining or me breaking rules
We are not far from you. Your main restriction is if you go over 250g. Apart from that you will find a lot of places. We may get to meet up soon as we are not too far from you.

yeah the drone I’m looking at is 249kg without the extended battery. i think if i add a bigger battery then it will go over. Ok cool that’s the only thing stopping me from getting one ATM but if there are plenty of places thats good.

Yes i believe the extended batter does take it over so for you i would think its better to get the flymore kit and have standard batteries. So are you near Ivans. We drive to ivans now and again for a treat.

Once you decide to. Get the operator i.d and if you need a sticker for your drone we can print one for you. Your flier i.d and get some practice in.

Not sure on busses and trains so your best bet is to check what stations are close to you and what is near each station. Become a paid up member of the group and look at dronescene for places people have added to fly. Do the same for busses. How far would you travel. If you have one battery and you travel an hour for half an hour flying thats where the flymore kit comes in.
The DJI mini series are great little drones. We fly the dji mini 3 pro.
The mini 3 pro has a better camera then the mini 3 so if you stretch that bit further if pictures are important to you. There are other benefits of the pro. Depends what you want. You can google the difference between the two. There are drones for sale on here regular too.
Yes its one of the only places i know over there… and tescos. Not sure about a field was just getting an idea of rough location in case i was thinking of wrong area.
How urgent do you want it. I think there is a prime day on Amazon first couple of weeks in october. Cant guarantee drones are cheaper but you never know.
Also if you get the controller without a screen make sure your phone is compatible to run software.
its not urgent. still looking into it. they have the fly kit with 3 batteries, tho i’ll look into the pro now
yeah i would prefer the one with the screen TBH.
We bought a mini 2 and then liked the 3 pro. So best to spend the bit extra and get what you want rather then realising after. They keep coming out with the 4 pro too. I have not used a 4 pro so can not comment but the 3 pro is a good bit of kit as both me and my wife have one.
yeah im that way. I’m willing to travel quite far IF its an easy trip. but if i have to get 3 trains alot less traveling. I have a steam deck sooo sitting on a train for 45 min is not a problem but having to keeps changing makes it a nightmare
