I have had an FPV drone for about 2 years now, and only recently finding the time to go out and fly. Before I would rely on getting lifts to safe locations to fly however now I have a bike so I am able to whenever and wherever I want (as long as it’s safe ofc ). My piloting skills are not very good, I am able to confidently fly the drone however when it comes to freestyle I have a lot to learn.
I Initially got into FPV freestyle quad copters from watching someone build and fly one on youtube. As a tinkerer I was filled with joy finding out that you can build a capable drone all by yourself. So I saved up what was a lot of money at the time, build a drone and bought all the required gear.
As I mentioned before I’m looking to spend a lot more time flying this year once I am able to pass my Motorcycle A2 license, So if anyone knows any good spots to Ride/Fly in the Halifax area please let me know.
Have you seen our members map? (Click the burger-menu in the top right) You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too
We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the #questions-and-answers category.
