Hello from Hardwicke in Gloucestershire

Hi everyone!

I’m a total newbie to drones. Bought myself a DJI Air 3S and did my first flight this morning. All seemed to go well.

I’ve been an amateur photographer for a while. You can see some of my work on 500px.com. Looking forward to using the drone to capture the Cotswolds from a different view point.

I’m also interested in learning dog photography, but judging by my dog’s reaction to the drone this morning I may have to keep the two apart

Thanks for all the useful info on the website, it was very handy!

Welcome once again!

Hello Andy. I’m in Maisemore. I’ve had ( I hate the word drone) Quads for many years, probably about 12, starting with a Parrot, then a DJI Phantom, then a DJI Inspire V1 and DJI Mavic Pro 1. They’ve all gone. Now I’ve got a DJI Mini 4 pro 4.
Im not a pro by any means. Likewise I don’t do Crazy things and definitely don’t take risks and don’t ever invade privacy . This this is a hobby. Nothing else. At my age +67, I just want something to do when the sun comes out…
To me this hobby is about learning to fly, learning capturing images and learning how to edit.
Just because I’ve been flying for years, doesn’t mean I good at it. There are many things these machines can do, that I’ve never done.
Years ago I would take footage then pass it on to a master to create an finished work. Now, it’s my turn to learn, using Power Director as an edit tool…
Anyway, at this point, I’d like to wish you well and I hope you can get satisfaction from your Quad.

Hi Andy @andyham - welcome to GADC :+1: :+1: :+1:

Hi Quadhopper, thanks for the welcome. Good to hear you’re local too. As far as editing is concerned I’m good with Lightroom and Photoshop but haven’t done any video editing, so plenty to learn there!

welcome
