Hi to all. Very new to this and have recently bought a Mavic 4 pro which I was mainly hoping to use for landscape photography in addition to the normal hand held method. I sort of jumped in without thinking it through properly but I do want to get through the A2 cofc at least but need a lot of practice. Really am a bit worried about where I can get some practical experience flying without bothering other people so if anyone is aware of any potential private flying spots that would be great. I just missed out on a camping/flying meet near Kettering recently I think and it those sorts of meets that I am looking forward to. Especially if they are in Norfolk but happy to drive a few hours if necessary. This club is just what I am looking for and hope I can get more involved.
I also realise I may have created a new topic rather than adding to the existing thread .. sorry if I have got this wrong …

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the Challenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.
There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the Challenges category for more information.

Hi Chris , I’m about 7 miles out of Norwich , there are a couple of model plane clubs , one has a designated field for drones and helicopters , the club is at the old RAF Coltishall although their drone field is near Buxton. Short of that approach or put a post on FB to see if you can get a local farm to give you permission in return for some footage , most smaller farms are keen if asked and you agree not to post publicly on FB .
Hi Scottydog … thank you so much for the heads up. I have contacted a model aircraft club at Suton to ask if they would accept me but that site you have mentioned out Buxton way sounds ideal .. I will make contact with the club at Coltishall .. I am not on FB really but I am trying the farmer route also… perhaps we will meet one day if there are any meet-ups in this area at some point … Chris
