Hi There, just wanted to introduce myself. I’m a total beginner, in fact I’m waiting on the delivery of my new drone (DJI Mini Pro 4) so doing all the tutorials etc
The plan is to hopefully have fun whilst capturing some great scenery etc!

Hello there @Slimhaydy welcom to the club enjoy
He’s Slimhaydy he’s the real Slimhaydy all the other Slimhaydys are just his baybies…
Welcome to the forum, Haydyn, I’m not far away from you (Cardiff). Just had a quick squiz at UAV Assist for suitable places for you to fly and there’s a couple of football pitches off Grove Road that look as if they’e be ok when there’s not a match on, just for practicing. No overhead obstacles and so long as you keep away from the river and the A467 you’ll be fine; the Mini 4 Pro is a brilliant drone. Once you’ve got the feel of it, which you will quite quickly, you’ll know what to look for in flying locations; the obvious good one in your vicinity is Twmbarlwm. You can see my 'ouse from up there…
Welcome! I’m also in South Wales, albeit over in Pembrokeshire!
Hey Slim , welcome , Im from North Wales , you made a great choice with Mini4Pro, same as I have , awesome piece of kit I think
David
Hi Haydn @Slimhaydy and welcome aboard the GADC site
LOL - yep you’ve got it Thanks for the tips, that’s a massive help! Fingers crossed I’ll get the hang of it and can soon look at other areas. I’ve been checking out the ‘drone assist app’ which seems pretty good.
Awww nice, spoilt for choice with stunning locations then! Thanks for the welcome!
Hi David and thanks for the welcome! I visited Anglesey just a few weeks ago. Fell off the bicycle and fractured my shoulder - so giving up cycling as it’s bad for my health
The clubs own Drone scene is better Here
Ahh right, Drone Scene is the groups own service. Cool I really like that!!

Hi Haydn @Slimhaydy - welcome to GADC from down the road in Swansea
Hi Again Slim and thanks for the cordiality back too bro , yea Anglesey all my mums side ( of blessed memory ) are from up Ynys Mon, I love it , but due to fractured spine because of mixing it hed on Fazer 1000s V’s Ford focus head on crash , I tend not to get out far from home now ! I nearly met my maker that day , so now… well droning is way safer !!
I pray your shoulder is healing up nicely , oh turmeric high stength caps is a graet painkiller for that kind of thing ( but before taking it in caps) check with your doctor !!
Just and off the wall bit of advice that might help you
