Hello from sunny South Yorkshire

Good afternoon all,

I’m Andy from South Yorkshire. Been flying drones for around 10 years in one shape or another. My first off-the-shelf drone was a Mavic Pro Platinum and moved onto the Mini 3 Pro when my PfCO expired. Recently crashed my Mini3P into a wall whilst out on a job which has meant sending it off to DJI for repair.

I went and bought three drones from a chap in Derby yesterday who was selling up. So I now have 2 x Mini 3 Pro’s, 1 x Mini 2 and 1 x Air 2S. I do fly commercially (once a month or so), so having the extra gear on hand will come in very handy!

Just joined the forum in search for another RM330 controller for the Air 2S. I know I could use one of the controllers from the Mini3P, but I like each drone to have it own equipment. If you do happen to have one, let me know! :smiley:

Edit: In the space of 5 minutes, I’ve now bought one!

Have you been brave enough to fly DSA yet? I’ve heard the Vulcan is still hanging around.

Yes, ive been several times… its class G airspace at the minute, so no bravery needed

Update the fly database

DJI NFZ and geofencing hasn’t been a thing since early this year

Many times. Gonna get some flights in or maybe a mini meet.

Airport is planning to be reopened in 2026. Airspace reclassification slowly underway.

Enjoy it while we can.

Also thinking of flying the wildlife park at some point
