Hello from admaston Telford very new to flying drones
Hi @Korda and welcome to Grey Arrows
Good choice on the Mini 2, a cracking bit of kit and the most popular drone with our members.
Have you seen our members map? (Click the burger-menu in the top right) You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too
We’re a well established club with many knowledgable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the #questions-and-answers category.
Looking for recommendations of places to fly? Check out our interactive map on Drone Scene - be sure to log in to gain access to the full suite of features and map layers:
Where To Fly Your Drone in the UK

And please feel free to add locations of your own too.
Please also take a moment to look at the Membership Levels section on our FAQ as we’re quite different to other clubs and you’ll be eligible for some rather exclusive club discounts as your membership level increases
Welcome once again!
Welcome. I’m across the opposite side of the A5. You’ve got some good places to fly over that side. Be aware of Shropshire councils no fly policies on their owned heritage sites and parks (I think, if I recall one of the more stricter ones along with Birmingham ) should be viewable on drone scene otherwise check the FOI requests by Simon Hawkins. Simon Hawkins - Freedom of Information requests - WhatDoTheyKnow
I’m sure you’ll soon learn of places where to take off and land and how to seek forgiveness afterwards to your advantage as long as you apply common sense and the drone code.
Plenty of information here.
Hi Rob - welcome to GADC
Hi,
Im on the south side of telford, homer lake seems a good place to fly. also at the back of Madeley court hotel there are open spaces, woods and a lake.
so long as you abide with the law no one bothers you.
Have fun
Hi thank you, yes we seem to have some good places to fly in and around Shropshire, I’m very new to this so for the moment I’m just going over the farm fields by me, but once I’m confident I’ll adventure out a bit more
Thank Rob
