TBH I found the same when I started, and tbh not really over it yet, and hardly fly on my own! I did actually fly my mini 2 loads mroe than ever have before when went to cornwall, though since DS just added the SSSi I noticed… oops maybe I shouldn’t have in some places.
I do get your “fear” though, looking forward to getting out in groups more. I’ve never once (actually does willington count?! guess it does, though they were friendly) been asked to leave anywhere, it’s a confidence thing, and it does help being with others.
But just wanted to say I sympathise with how you feel! Good luck, and get flying!

The fear is more so when you have goggles on. At least if you fly camera drones, you aren’t so cut off from what is happening around you. FPV is a whole different level of immersion. Still I guess we can do aerial recon to offset it.
Oh and gunja, I wouldn’t worry too much about flying in Cornwall. I’ve flown in a few places down there, never had any issues.
Just because it’s an SSSi doesn’t necessarily mean you cant fly there. A lot of the restrictions are to do with birds nesting etc. So out of season isn’t that much of a big deal. I’ve had the go ahead a couple of times ie Chasewater and Malham (both out of season)…

Hey Spurs936,
How did you get on in the end? Did you manage to fly in the Peak District?
