Hi all, I got my first drone in 2015 I think, DJI Phantom 3 4K, loved it. Used it for several years then life got in the way. Dusted it down the other month and unsurprisingly I had to change both drone and controller batteries. After I changed them I would have a test flight and it work great but every time I took it out to actually use it, something went wrong. In the end the controller wouldn’t switch on even though I’d replaced the battery.
So I bit the bullet last week and bought the mavic 3 classic. Charged it all up, did all the firmware updates etc etc…. Was planning to use it yesterday on its maiden flight and lo and behold the controller is dead to the world, fabulous. Took it back to Argos and getting a replacement on Wednesday. Hopefully it works cos I’m beginning to think I’m jinxed. I’m sitting my A2 C of C exam on Tuesday so fingers crossed I pass that, get the drone on Wednesday with no problems and it’s happy days.
Anyway, that’s my drone about my drone background. I’m glad I found this site, I have a feeling I’ll be spending some time on here. Take care folks thanks for reading and happy flying.

Thanks, it’s the RC N1 controller with the screen. Since it died I did a google search and it seems to be a common problem. But then again, if you google any problem it looks common. Hopefully it was a one off.
I know I was surprised that Argos had them. Where I live you’re kind of limited to where to buy stuff. I prefer buying from a shop in case something goes wrong with it, thankfully I did. Plus Argos have a great returns policy.
