Hi all, just joined and just received my Mavic Air 2 about two hours ago.

We’re kind of wedged in between Gatwick, Heathrow, Kenley Aerodrome and Highdown prison in terms of airspace but I’m sure I’ll be able to find plenty of places to fly and take photos.

Haven’t yet got insurance sorted so my first flight will be in the field at the back of the house.

Hi Alex, I’ll take a look at Donescene.

Yes, apart from a Parrot, many years ago, first ever drone. Did the CAA test and registration yesterday and now charging, updating, familiarising and looking for insurance (was recommended FPVUK).

Remember FPVUK is only public liability insurance and wont cover you for damage to your own equipment.

There are lots of threads on insurance might be worth a look at.

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. When I purchased the Mavic, I took out their own Refresh replacement scheme for the first year. I will certainly be looking for recommendations for years two and onwards.
