Hi all. I am new to the drone scene and just pikced up a Mini 5 Pro, not realising how much i need to learn ;o). I have been doing photography as hobby for many years, and got into videography over the past couple years.
Now looking to use these skills in the air! I haven’t yet gone out to try things as unfortunately live near a no fly zone. So making sure i know what I can and can’t do first reading and watching materials, and practicing on the dji simulator to get used to controls and movements.
Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the Challenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.
There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the Challenges category for more information.
We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. And finally, if you are new to drones and wondering what it’s all about, have a look at Resources for a beginner.
It did indeed. Did a couple of flights, actually. Took off from Jubilee Park in Leyton and fimed Etloe House (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrIQqssANe8) but also got some nice shots of Stratford and the city skyline in the opposite direction. That was with the Air 3S.
Later, I did a hyperlapse of the A12 and got an orbit of Leyton Orient (where Spurs/Liverpool ladies were playing), using the 2x zoom on the Mini 5 Pro. Both are amazing drones.
