Hi from Esher - two spots to recommend!

Found two places to fly our Mavic Air 2 (that’s me and my daughter) - the first, Richmond Park, has a designated “flying field”, just beware that on the weekend, flying fun finishes at 1pm and that goes for Bank Holidays as well. Also, as the deer don’t seem to be able to read the big sign announcing it as such, you might have to pause as the deer plonk themselves in the way.

The second spot is Morden Park which we did today until it got too rainy. Just a point of note, this is not Morden Hall Park which is National Trust and doesn’t welcome droning and is just some 5 mins away with a similar name (in fact that’s where we went initially and where we ended up for lunch actually!)

Both really good places to fly if, like us, you’re finding your wings and learning the basics.

Hi Pete @petecknight and welcome to GADC :+1: :+1:

Hi Pete

I flown lots in both Morden parks. Give me a shout when you next flying I live either walking distance of one and 5 min car drive from Morden Park .

I flown lots of times in Morden Hall Park. No one has troubled me once. I take off and land from that public footpaths that goes through the parks. Been surprised by a few dogs not on leads, but apart that nice area. I stayed out of the rose garden. I fly towards the tram stop.

I fly both mavi mini and FPV drones. Morden Park is good by golf frisbee course.

Hey Pete and welcome to the club. Will be interested to see how you get on with the Air 2 as I have just bought one to supplement the mini 2
