Turned 60 and took a notion to drone about month back, bought a 4DRC F3 thinking to get a taste before spending too much, realised within an hour of flying, poor handling worse camera that would have to get something better so got a mini mavic 2 flymore which arrived on good Friday.
I very glad did .
Since then been flying a little every day and getting confidence , tho have a lot to learn both in terms of flying and photography. Haven’t been without a Kmount SLR/DSLR the last 40 years ( HP5/ilfosol → digikam/darktable used to post on Ian Robertson | Flickr lately on my own site http://mityp.xyz/ a docker experiment ) so have some photo experience but video is totally new.
I work as sys admin / programmer and tend to stick to the linux side with computers , have installed kdenlive, openshot & vidcutter but not had much of a play with any yet, video editing seems a vast subject and there is a wide choice
in editing tools.
Keen to try flying @ greenan as I am from Ayr originally and have wanted to see inside for too long.
Found the club after finding dronscene map looks useful thanks for that and high to those nearby, look forward to chats and meetups.
