Hi l have just joined and still finding my way around but very impressed with what l have seen so far .
Loads of friendly advice on both the drones and locations , it all seems rather daunting when you first buy your first drone, l went for the DJI Mini 4K.
Looking forward to the weather improving so l can get I the air again .
Regards
Barry

Hi @Trainman - welcome to GADC
You will find people far more friendly on here than on Facebook groups.
I lurk on Facebook, but I engage on here! You are 100% correct - it’s an entirely different environment here, visited by people that just love drones. I’ve only been involved in the drone world myself for a few months, but have learnt a lot here. On Facebook almost every thread has people attacking the original poster in some way (sometimes not without good reason, but even so…).
Warning: It’s addictive (both drones and this forum!)
Not a fan of Facebook Martin for the reasons you say , l just want to learn as much as l can to avoid any conflict out there and enjoy the flying. I have been into photography all my life and at my age (67) it’s great to get a new angle on it. I sit back in amazement at the quality the little mini 4K gives me to play with ……
Agree with you on all counts, especially on the quality. 10 year old me (in the 80’s) would have simply not have believed that I would be able to create such content.
Welcome @Trainman. I’m new to this too and have found this forum super helpful.
