Hi im from sunny plymouth-ish, just got given a drone for Christmas only a beginners one, im nearly 60, and so far ive crashed it into the tv, sofa, lightshade, fireplace and curtains, i did have it flying for about a minute once before i crashed it into the wardrobe. New blades on the way. Done the licence thing, got my ID. just need some good weather and a big open field to perfect my crashing,
I will be hanging around the sideline picking up information for a while, cheers.

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the Challenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.
There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the Challenges category for more information.
We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the Questions & Answers category.
Our Bronze Members are able to enjoy a lot of great services for free but our Silver and Gold Members are eligible for a whole lot more! Read all the details about our Membership Benefits?
And finally, if you are new to drones and wondering what it’s all about, have a look at Resources for a beginner.

Hi @Stu67 and welcome to GADC. What drone do you have. Most will recommend not to fly indoors. We’ve all tried it and failed. Get outside in some clear space and you will find it behaves a lot differently from indoors. Good luck

Hi from Wokingham, Berkshire. That sounds a little like me. I used the back garden and found the wall, the fences, and almost me. I’ve only been flying since mid-December. That’s my excuse, and I’m sticking to it. ![]()
Not sure of what you are flying. Cheap beginner drones are more difficult to control as when you are flying the can drift and go off course. Any dring with G P S positioning make a massive improvement to fly. I have flown a neo round our garage and not done too bad but as saud above, its not reccomended. Just be cautios of wind conditions and if it appears bot to be doing what you want bring it down.
When your new props arrive dont forget yiu can not just stick them on. Make sure you get the right props for the correct side as they are different in the direction of the prop slope. You should see markings to help.
