I’m a total newbie to the hobby with a Mini 3 Pro.
I’m wading through the mire of getting some form of insurance set up (Only a C0, but better safe than sorry) and then on to register with the CAA and finally DJI.
All this to do, when what I really want to do is get out and take my first flight, and get used to the controls.
I suppose it will keep me occupied while the batteries charge up for the first time.

Welcome to GADC, don’t worry, you will soon be up and away! Got my MINI3 Pro in August last year, loving it - steep learning curve with flying, videography and editing, but the results are brilliant!
And there is a good bunch of helpful folks in here to boot
Took my first flight today…
OMG! I loved it.
I was getting used to the controls, wrapping my head around the directional controls being back to front, first flight and all, it’ll come. At first, I couldn’t work out why the camera gimble was stuck, there was a little bit of foam behind the camera to add stability. Duh!
Did the usual stuff, I’m sure every newbie does, manoeuvred the drone about, took it up, and chickened out at 50m. It was a great view, at least on the RC screen it was.
I have just looked at the video and pictures, I think my drone needs glasses.
I don’t know if it was the focus or a dirty lens. It’s something I’ll have to play with and explore on my next day off.
When you take off stop at shoulder height and let the drone focus, takes a second or so, or touch the screen where you want it to focus, then fly and get your footage… I did it in Scotland, fantastic beach, amazing views, but the first 30 secnds are slightly blurred, sooo annoying!
Congrats on your first flight, addictive isnt it? I started in August last year, just hit 100+ video’s uploaded to YT and making some stuff I am happy with now, still learning, but feeling the need for a larger 2nd drone, and perhasp an FPV too… Lol!
There are some drone flying days happening this coming week Tuesday/Wednesday not too far from you. There will be some very experienced operators on hand if you have any questions.

Thanks.
I think next free day I’ve got, I’ll have to sit and go through and try to familiarise myself with all the photo options I’ve got available on my RC, and more importantly, what to tap to get to them.
The Lens on the camera looks fine, so more than likely the problem will be me turning the auto focus off, or something as simple and stupid.
