Fortunately for you (ok, possibly not) I grew up in Scone, Goshen to be exact. And I now live just outside Balbeggie, so if you want to meet for a chat and go over any of the rules or requirements let me know. I also have an Air2 you can have a shot of. I did have a mini 2 but sold it recently as it wasn’t gettting used.
Lastly, before you fly in and around Scone, you are smack bang in the middle of a flight restriction zone because of the airport. You will need to contact the guys at the tower before making any flights, even in your back garden, they are pretty good and very relaxed though so it’s never been a problem for me. The only time I have been refused a flight was when the queen was being transported from Balmoral after her death.
I’m always surprised how many people don’t know how to pronounce it, especially as every one of your monarchs has sat on, or over “The Stone of Scone” for their coronation since the 13th century when you thieving scumbags stole it, or rather Edward the 1st did. It was returned in 1996 to Edinburgh Castle, for some strange reason? It has now been rehomed in Perth City Hall which has been turned into a museum, not quite its ancestral home, but it’s better than England
Perth at least, was the capital of Scotland many many years ago.
yip, as in spoon.
I once directed a yank 20 miles in the opposite direction when he asked me “Can ye tell me where scone is?” I sent him to a bakers in Dundee
