I’m Dave from Solihull. Recently thought about checking my roof/guttering but you’re not getting me up a ladder that high… so… I thought “why not use a drone?”
I now own a Mini 2 (thanks to friend), have requested permission from Birmingham Airport ATC, and look forward to seeing what’s up there!
I’m already hooked and am eager to get out there (away from FRZs) and see what I can do.
I’d be interested in speaking with people who live within FRZs, especially for airports, to see what experiences they’ve had.
We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. I live in the FRZ for Coventry airport.
They have always been really supportive, and will always try to grant permission for my flights, and I in return, try to ask to fly in areas or at times that are likely to cause them minimum disruption
