I’m Keith (53) and just bit the bullet and bought my first (secondhand) drone a DJI Mini 2. I thought it would be good to document/film my son riding his motocross bike at the local track (not many people usually about so I can keep out of their way) and also take photos and videos of the local scenery. If there is anyone in the local area that can and is willing to give me some pointers I would be very grateful, as sometimes it is easier to be shown how to do something rather than to be told or watch a video.

The drone I bought from flea bay with a bit of negation with the seller I paid £420 delivered,
Contents were;
9 month old Mini 2 fly more combo (between 2-3 charges per battery)
Hanatora tablet holder
A set of 4 Pgytech ND filters (8, 16, 32 & 64)
A set of MA stealth props (that my daughter found in the zip pocket in the back of the drone bag)
6 in 1 Parallel Smart Battery Charging Hub (great bit of kit from what I’ve seen so far, charge everything at once in about 1.5 hours)

I went out yesterday evening for my first flights to the local park/lake and wow! I’m impressed with the way this little drone handles it’s self (Northeast weather renowned for being wet and very windy at times :thinking:, well most of the time :laughing:

Having watched the footage on my phone whilst flying around the park area I can’t wait to watch it on my laptop.

Have you seen our members map? (Click the burger-menu in the top right) You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too :+1:t2:
