Complete novice here. Just picked up a Dji mini 2 this week. Been absorbing myself in a ton of vids and forums etc. Got op id and insurance liability/damage loss etc.
Was supposed to be off to dartmoor with it this week leaving today but travel companions got covid so postponed till beginning of July. In tje meantime want to try and get some practice in locally. I have limited experience with RC planes. Once owned a Hobbyzone Super Cub but not for years.
Ne great if I could meet up with someone a bit more experienced locally (recently sold car on a bicycle now), particularly kf they know a spot that’s ok to fly at with not too many people around.
Have you seen our members map? (Click the burger-menu in the top right) You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too
We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. I am doing some local stuff, make sure you have Drone Assist App, check it before flying especialy around white horse. Send it over the lake and industrial est. look at Where to fly for ideas.
