How to set the frame rate for quickshots on the dji Mini 4 Pro?

This is my first drone and I’m confused about quickshots. My frame rate on the camera is set to 4K 50fps, and when I tested the dronie quickshot, the footage was recorded in 30fps which is not what I want. When recording normally the drone records in 50fps.

My question is how do I set the drone up so that the quickshots settings match my normal settings?

It’s set independent in each of the video modes so once you select quickshots just press on the video info on the bottom and set as required

Thanks I tried to set it just now as you suggested but I get a message saying the drone has to be flying. Can I not set the frame rate before flying?

Unfortunately not can only access quickshots and master shots while the drone is flying don’t know why they made it like that

If it’s on the ground how are you going to pick the subject of your quick shot ?

I understand that bit but would be helpful if can set video parameters before flying

I just tried the dronie shot again, but I am very disappointed that I can’t use UK frame rates. I only get a choice of 30 or 60 when all my timelines are either 25 or 50. Any solution for this?

Lose the gimmicky DJI stuff and fly manual :person_shrugging:

UK frame rates?

When editing the footage, set the frame rate of the project to the same frame rate you’ve shot the video in, before importing the video into the project. At least that’s what I do. ( DaVinci Resolve ) I imagine different editors will be able to do this as well ?

25 for that ‘cinematic’ look (so they say)

I don’t buy into it

That’s not a UK specific value though

A 30fps clip on a 25fps timeline will result in jerky footage. Looks like I won’t be using quickshots then, pity.

Yes, well and EU. 30 and 60fps is for America because of the power grid frequency. You guys know this, right?

Yep looks like I will have to.

Are you talking about the old PAL vs NTSC hertz rates on TVs from back in the day?

Ahh shortly after JL Baird invented tv then :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
Incidentally, I shot some footage for the local allotment association. They just wanted the footage as one of them did video editing as a hobby. Once he’d edited the footage, I found out he was working with analog equipment ( “None of that digital rubbish in my editing room.”) He had managed to convert digital to analogue then edit that footage, before reconverting to digital to upload to YouTube. I met him in the local a few months after and he asked me how long it would take me to edit a video on the computer, “Probably have something workable in an hour or two.” I told him. He’d spent many hours on 10 minutes of video. ( there again, he is nearing 80 yrs old ) :joy::joy:

The problem is if there is any artificial light it will flicker if the frame rate is set to 30 or 60 in the UK and EU. Nothing to do with TVs. This is why I want to set to 25 or 50 because we have a 50Hz power grid.

And also, because all my timelines are either 25 or 50, and when you place 30 or 60 fps footage on that timeline it looks crap.

Have you tried this…
