Hello all,
I came across this forum & website a few days ago, as it was recommended by a gentleman in a YouTube video discussing 2025 Drone rules.
I’m new to drones and pretty new to flying in general. The only model aircraft I’ve piloted so far was a sub-250g gyro-stabilised helicopter.
I have decided to purchase a DJI Neo (Motion Fly More Combo) for my first foray into drone piloting, as it has some useful preset features that my wife can use for making videos, and (what I’m more excited about) the ability to fly it in FPV.
I received my Operator and Flyer ID yesterday, and have prepared stickers to apply to the drone.
The Neo is arriving today. Can’t wait to unpack it and have a short test flight this evening.
I’m looking forward to learning much and gaining experience on this before eventually progressing into flying in manual/acro mode.
I’ll check the member map, but if anyone is local to me and wants to partner up, give me a shout.
If anyone has any recommendations or advice for a newbie like me, I’m keen to listen.
Thanks for having me onboard.
Best regards,
Steven.
