INAV stuff

There’s always two ways of looking these things so maybe @notveryprettyboy was undertaking a pre planned fail safe test scenario

Always gotta test these things Steve

I don’t know. I’ve been soldering since I was 10. Some wires just won’t tin up. But they can appear soldered. A nice firm tug (ahem fnarr fnarr) is a good test.

The wires were corroded. No amount of flux would help. Liquid ingress at some point i think

4.1 now at full release status

If it happens to you, just paste this into the CLI

set gyro_hardware_lpf = 256HZ
set acc_lpf_hz = 15
set heading_hold_rate_limit = 90
stats = OFF
save

:slightly_smiling_face:

INAV 5.0 will bring resource mapping, it’s looking as if you will be able to re-map any output to any motor/servo function. so we could move our motor numbers around to suit a rotated ESC/FC
A bit like how Betalight is doing it now.

More details to follow obs. but sounds useful :+1:

INAV 5.0 due around 25th June :+1:

I’m still at v3 on most of mine. If there are any improvements to flying characteristics/smoothness/PID tuning etc then I’ll happily upgrade but otherwise I’ve not seen any new features since v3 that have persuaded me to get the USB cable out…

For me it’s that my current stack will actually be supported in Ver 5.0! Right now it does not work!

This has now been fixed in v5.0 (allegedly)

Advance information on version 6 of INAV coming soon.
Main changes are to the AHRS with the devs looking at some Ardupilot code to incorporate into INAV. No doubt they are hoping they solve the AHI drift problem once and for all.

Do you think they will merge at some point?

INAV & Ardupilot ? NO, can’t see that happening, Ardu has too much involvement in commercial ventures and won’t do anything that they see as ‘degrading / hobby ising’ their product

But they are making an inav style interface?

some off-shoot devs are/were, not heard anything about it for sometime though.
I think it’s an attempt by some fringe group to get more interest from hobbyists in Ardu…

Changed my Inav to have a red home arrow
