Is A2 COC needed for DJI Air 3?

I am confused. I thought that I would need an A2 CoC for the DJI Air 3 because of its weight. I was going by the information in CAA CAP 2022 March 2023. However I have been told that I can fly it in the UK in the A1 open category because it has a C1 classification and CAA cap 2004 that clearly states that from Jan 23 C1 drones are A1 open category.
I have my A2 CoC but would like clarification please.

You’ll find your answer here @KevNewton

I have and get the following results which is contrary to CAP 2004 which states “
“ Drone classification

From 1 January 2023 new drones will have to meet a set of product standards. These will be classed from CO to C4, based on the weight and capability of the drone, and will determine how and where you can fly.

Drones classed CO or C1 can be flown in the open A1 sub category. For C2 it’s open sub category A2 or A3 and for classes C3 and C4 you can only fly in the A3 sub category.“

CAA ditched / delayed all the class mark stuff a year or two ago Kev, it never happened.
